A Bit About Us

Welcome to The Westend, a community center that has been a hub for residents in our area since it was built through fundraising efforts in the 1970s. Our center started as just a hall, but over the years we have added to it to create a spacious and modern building that is available for hire for all types of events.In 1985, we added a bar area, which has become popular among those looking to celebrate special occasions or simply unwind after a long day. Then, in 2018, we added a large extension to the front of the building, providing even more space for people to gather and socialize.
At The Westend, we pride ourselves on offering affordable prices for our facilities, making us accessible to everyone in the community. We believe that everyone should have access to a space to host events, and we strive to make that possible for all.
In addition to our facilities, we also have a team of independent instructors who hold classes for people of all ages. These classes range from fitness, dance and social gatherings to meantal health and wellbeing, ensuring that there is something for everyone. The instructors are passionate about what they do and are committed to providing high-quality instruction to all attendees.
Furthermore, The Westend is run by a committee of dedicated volunteers who organize events such as Halloween parties, summer fetes, and many other community gatherings. We are proud to be a center that is run by the community for the community, and we rely on the support and involvement of our residents to continue thriving.
